DRESSING UP

Since I graduated Vogue Academy last summer, my mornings now look a little different. With less stressful mornings, comes a new way of dressing up.

Less rushing in the mornings means that I get to spend more time in my comfortable clothes. I love wearing comfy clothes! Most of the time I can eat breakfast wearing pajamas & fluffy socks and get ready while wearing a soft silky robe.

As a kid I loved dressing up and till this day on, I still do :-) What I wear, depends on my mood. However, I do like to play with the current trends. For example: yesterday I wore a sheer top combined with a black triangle bra. Since we’re getting closer to springtime, you’ll probably see more sheer tops. What you’ll probably see more of as well, are flower patterns! My cardigan has tiny embroidered flowers. Makes a plain black cardigan a bit more interesting, right?!

PARIS DIARY #2

Table for two please! What an amazing view, right? ♥

This picture is taken at restaurant The Lobby, located in the Peninsula hotel. Sam and I had lunch here one day. By the way.. Yes that is cheesecake, yes our lunch included dessert. Hmm!

We visited Louvre on our last day. Of course I had to take a picture here! Outfit details: I was wearing an All Saints jacket, Zara skirt, River Island top, Loavies shoes and bag.
Inside of Louvre. An impressive big painting on the left. On the right you see Mona Lisa, which isn’t as big as I thought?! You can’t even see it very well because of all the tourists (which I was one of🙈).

We stayed at Renaissance Le Parc Trocadero hotel. We l o v e d it here. Perfect room and perfect location.

Breakfast in our cozy room, yes please! We overlooked the garden, which was very calm in the middle of a big city.

Sam and I went on a boat tour on the Seine late in the afternoon. This was a very spontaneous idea and we didn’t really prepare for it. If I knew we went on a boat tour, I would have worn 4 layers at least hehe. We sat upstairs, on the deck, but it was quite cold. So after a little while I covered myself in a blanket. And 10 minutes later in another one. And a little while later in another one. Haha. But it was nice to discover Paris from the water and see all of Paris’ attractions! A real must-do if you ask me.

One morning we walked to Tracedero before we had breakfast. It’s like a 5 minute walk from our hotel so went here a few times actually! Trocadero is a platform where you have the most beautiful Eiffel Tower view. Normally it’s pretty crowded, but at 8 AM it’s a whole other story.

Paris at night is so beautiful as well! During this photo we walked to the subway, because we wanted to do some shopping. Champs Élysées is only one subway station away from the hotel.

WINTER WALK

Monday afternoon and I’m still a bit tired of Saturday night’s party. I’m drinking my second big cup of coffee. How was your weekend? Hope you had a nice one :-) I spent mine in my hometown. I visited my granny, saw my friends (we actually went to an escape room and made it out on time!) and spent time with family. Now I’m back in Amsterdam and currently in a cafe with Lise, both working on our laptops. This place is pretty close to my house, but my scooter did. not. start. So we walked over here, pretty nice actually! Perfect weather. Tonight we’re going to the cinema to see La La Land. Ryan Gosling is in it so it must be a good one! XXX

NEXT STOP: PARIS

Good evening from Paris! Sam and I are currently in the city of looove! We left the house at 7.50 AM this morning and we arrived in Paris at 11.30 PM. The Thalys only takes 3 hours from Amsterdam central station. I can make this a weekly thing. Hihi. We are here for a little getaway, will only stay here for a few nights. I’m really looking forward to wandering around, views of the Eiffel Tower, macarons from Laduree and long Parisian lunches. The weather forecast isn’t looking promising at all, but I will hope for the best :-) Talk to you soon! XX

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry X-mas guys! It’s the second day of Christmas and I’m really enjoying it. Favorite time of the year, so cozy and festive! How are you? Did you spend Christmas with your loved ones? My days were filled with lots of delicious (& unhealthy) food, presents and spending time with my family. We spent Christmas at my moms house but I’m now at home again. Just shot these photos with my new Urban Outfitters coat – love it. I’ve been wearing a lot of light blue clothes lately, not sure why haha. Maybe to brighten up these cold winter days :-) I’m going to make dinner now and will watch Home Alone later tonight. Kiss!

LATEST OUTFITS

Good evening guys! I’m feeling very cozy since it’s my favorite month, December! I love Christmas and my house looks very christmassy. It even smells christmassy thanks to the tree :-) Here are some outfits I wore on Instagram lately:

^ The christmas tree in the Conservatorium hotel is so beautiful! Here I was wearing a sweater from The Sting, old though (similar), shoes from Steve Madden and jeans from River Island.

^ The day I came back from Bali, I WAS SO COLD! Hehe, I needed a couple of days to adjust to the cold weather again. My sweater and jeans are from Zara, my beanie from H&M and overknee boots from Loavies.

^ Last week before we bought our christmas tree. We’ve took our christmas tree from IKEA to our house on the scooter hehe, must have looked pretty weird. Felt pretty weird as well. Coat and booties from Loavies, cardigan from ASOS and jeans from Zara.

^ An outfit I wore before we went on holiday. Pretty autumn days! My coat was from Tigha, overknee boots from Loavies and skirt/shirt from Zara.

^ Another beautiful christmas tree. My dress ‘No glitter, no party’ is from Zara and my sandals are from Steve Madden. See you next time! XXX
