FEELING FRENCH

Yesterday’s outfit made me feel a bit.. French. Haha, I think it’s because of the cape. How’s your day babes? I spent mine working on my laptop. Fun online paperwork ehem), answering e-mails and looking for tickets for our next destination.. Mallorca! Sam and I are going here in a few weeks. Never been to Mallorca, but since I really love Spain, I can only imagine that we will really enjoy being there. The weather, beaches, food, tapas.. Can’t wait. Talking about food, I don’t know what to eat tonight. I think I’m going to look for recipes now. Still need to buy groceries but first I have to know WHAT to buy hehe.

Door de outfit die ik gister droeg voelde ik me een beetje.. Frans. Haha, ik denk dat het door de cape komt. Hoe is je dag? Ik zit de hele dag achter m’n laptop. Online papierwerk, super leuk! (uhum), e-mails beantwoorden en ik ben ook aan het kijken voor tickets voor onze volgende trip.. Mallorca! Sam en ik gaan er over een paar weekjes heen. Ben er nog niet eerder geweest, maar aangezien we beiden Spanje heel leuk vind, denk ik dat Mallorca ons ook goed zal bevallen. Het weer, de stranden, het eten, tapas.. Zo veel zin in. Over eten gesproken, ik heb geen idee wat ik vanavond ga eten. Ik ga even online recepten kijken nu. Moet nog boodschappen doen, maar moet eerst weten WAT hehe.

SPRING IS COMING

Yesterday it felt like the first day of spring. The sun was shining, people were sitting outside and and I wore this denim vest as my jacket. Took these photos around 6.30 PM, when it was still light outside :-) Looove it, I’m so ready for spring and summer!
Now let’s talk about something else. Before I left to Marrakesh, I visited my hairdresser Ferry at Het Haartheater. He dyed my hair a bit darker and I’m so happy with it!! It’s still lighter than my natural color, but darker than what I had before. What do you think?

Gister voelde het echt een beetje als lente. De zon scheen, mensen zaten lekker buiten en ik had genoeg aan dit denim jasje. We namen deze foto’s rond 18.30 uur, toen het gewoon nog licht was :-) Looove it, ik ben zo toe aan de lente en zomer!
Nu over naar iets anders. Voordat ik naar Marrakesh ging, bracht ik een bezoekje aan m’n kapper Ferry bij Het Haartheater. Hij heeft m’n haar wat donkerder geverfd en ik ben er zo blij mee!! Het is als nog lichter dan m’n natuurlijke kleur, maar donkerder dan wat ik eerst had. Wat vind jij ervan?

SATURDAY IN MARRAKESH

My Saturday last week looked a little different.. This was our pool one week ago, I looove it!Breakfast with all of the Steve Madden girls ♥
One of the lovely girls I met during this trip, Simone. We just clicked right away! These are actually her pictures, she could shoot against the sun (which was always a struggle for me). You can visit her blog here. Sunsets in Morocco are on a whole other level! It was so beautiful to see the camels during a sunset like this.

It’s Sunday and I’m reminiscing about last week. The villa, the weather, the whole weekend.. :-) I still have one post left, so I’ll post that tomorrow or the day after. Today I’m having a chill Sunday. Since it’s sunny outside, I think I might have lunch with Sam somewhere outside on a terrace. Afterwards we’ll take outfit photos and maybe tonight we’ll go and see Logan in the cinema. Or just have a movie night at home. I just can’t fall asleep then, because lately I always fall asleep during a movie at home.. Sam isn’t too happy about that, since I’m super picky when it comes to movies, and then I fall asleep hehe. Het is zondag vandaag en ik ben aan het terug kijken op vorig weekend. De villa, het weer, het hele weekend.. :-) Ik heb nog 1 artikel met foto’s van Marrakesh dus die plaats ik morgen of overmorgen. Vandaag is het zondag en heb ik een chill dag. Aangezien het zonnig is vandaag, denk ik dat Sam en ik straks buiten ergens gaan lunchen. Hopelijk op het terras. Daarna gaan we outfit foto’s maken en vanavond misschien naar Logan in de bioscoop. Of gewoon een film avondje thuis, maar dan moet ik niet in slaap vallen. Dat doe ik namelijk vaak de laatste tijd als we thuis een film kijken.. Sam is er alleen niet zo blij mee, aangezien ik best kieskeuring ben als het op films aankomt en dan vervolgens in slaap val hehe. Nu is het eerst tijd voor ontbijt. Spreek jullie later babes X

MOROCCAN STREETS

Good afternoon babes! I’m back home, writing this blog post while I’m in the train on my way to my sister. She gave birth to my baby nephew in the middle of the night, so I can’t wait to meet him & kiss him & give him lots of cuddles!
I still have a lot of pictures to show you from Morocco, so I’ll upload those to my blog and Instagram the upcoming days. These are the photos we took in the streets of Medina, the old town of Marrakesh. We went there on Saturday and Sunday. The old town mainly exists of narrow streets filled with lots of people, scooters that are driving by and souks that sell traditional textiles, pottery and jewelry. There’s this big square in the middle of the centre called Jemaa al Fna, and I think I’ve never seen this much people at one place. SO. BUSY.

Goedemiddag babes! Ik ben weer thuis en schrijf deze post terwijl ik in de trein zit, onderweg naar m’n zus. Ze is vannacht bevallen van m’n baby neefje Lars en ik kan niet wachten om hem te ontmoeten, te kussen en om hem te knuffelen!
Ik heb nog steeds veel foto’s van Marokko, dus ik ga die de aankomende dagen op m’n blog en Instagram posten. Dit zijn wat foto’s die we in the straten van Medina hebben gemaakt, de oude stad van Marrakech. We gingen daar zaterdag en zondag heen. De oude stad bestond uit smalle straatjes, veel mensen, rijdende scooters en souks die traditionele textiel, aardewerk en sieraden verkochten. In het midden van het centrum is er een heel groot plein, genaamd Jemaa al Fna, en ik denk dat ik nog nooit zo veel mensen op 1 plek heb gezien. ZO. DRUK.

ARRIVED IN MARRAKECH!

Morning from Morocco! Yesterday evening we arrived here in Marrakech and the driver picked us up at the airport. He took us to the the villa, which is ah-ma-zing, but more about that later. Once we arrived in our room, we unpacked our suitcases and freshened up a bit. Around 8.30 PM we all gathered in the living room, met each other (we’re here with 7 bloggers + friends) and had some dinner and drinks. The Steve Madden team told us about the brand, we saw the spring/summer collection and afterwards they spoiled us with even more shoes. We sat together outside, talked a bit and went to bed around 1.30 AM. I’m going to take a shower now, I think we’re going into town today. Will take my camera with me so that my next post isn’t all iPhone pics like this post hehe. Have a great weekend babes! X

MARCH PLANS

Is it the 3rd of March already? Here are some of this month’s plans!

Travel: this afternoon I’ll be traveling to Marrakesh. Steve Madden invited a couple of bloggers and we’re going on a girls trip! I’m taking Lise with me and we’re both preeetttty excited. Never been to Morocco, but since it’s an Arabic country it does feel a bit familiar some way. When I tell people I’m going to Marrakesh, most of them tell me it’s really nice, the food is amazing, but that I should be careful (for pickpockets or scams etc.).

Blog: I want to spend more time on my blog. Now that the grey, rainy winter days are over *knock on wood*, I can get back to taking outfit pictures on the streets while it’s sunny. I love spring fashion, so hurry up warm weather!

YouTube: yes YouTube, that’s a new category. I want to start making weekly vlogs! I’m doubting between Dutch and English vlogs though. Personally, dutch would be easier but I have more international followers than Dutch followers, so it would be more logic to do it in English. Decisions decisions.. Any opinions? Please help me out! :-)

Hair: I went to the hairdresser yesterday to go a bit darker! In my next blog post you will see how it turned out.

Family: the best of all.. this month my sister is expecting her second baby. I can’t wait to meet my new little nephew! Come already! (But please after my Marrakesh trip, otherwise I can’t rush to see you!) ♥
